Labs...check. Upper GI....check check

Well, after a grueling two hours at Wilford Hall Medical Center, I am offically done with all of my pre-0p requirements. I started my morning HUNGRY, because I had to fast since 9pm last night. I went straight to the lab and the guy checking me in said he was going to have to charge me for a roll of paper for all the stuff he had to print...haha. Yes they took SIX tubes of blood from me. The tech said she would give me juice and crackers if I felt week, but I had to decline since I am still in fasting mode for my Upper GI. Done at the lab and onto Xray. A few people warned me this would be the worst of the things I had to do....they were RIGHT! That was one of the most horrible test I have ever had done. Needless to say I kept the vomit cup very close by at all times.It was like drinking mud and asking you not to vomit. Then they move you around and around on this motorized table as if you were on a cheap carnival ride after eating a whole funnel cake in 10 seconds. Not kidding, it was an awful feeling. BUT, its over.
I stopped by the bariatric clinic once I was done hoping to catch the nurse , just to let her know I was done. I really want my surgery date. Unfortunately she was in a meeting. I left her a note, so hopefully I will hear from her today. I am going to mark my surgery date on my calendar with a big red star. It's the first day of my brand new life. I am so excited. I can't wait.!!!!!
The next few weeks wont have much detail as far as my surgery goes. There is just nothing else to do but sit and wait. But I am always full of emotions and feelings, so I am sure I will be venting to some degree.
